Gen.G parts ways with three players: Meteor, Munchkin, and Lakia leave Valorant division

On October 7th, the Korean esports team Gen.G officially announced the termination of contracts with three players from their Valorant roster: Meteor, Munchkin, and Lakia. All three are now free agents and are looking for new teams. Despite this, Gen.G stated that negotiations with the players would continue.

One of the departing players, Munchkin, posted the following message on his Twitter:

I'm looking for a team. I can play any agent. IGL. Looking for a team to win a championship. I'm still not very good with the language, but I will learn for the sake of victory.
 

Gen.G achieved significant success in 2024, winning VCT Masters Shanghai, VCT Pacific Kick-Off, and Stage 2, as well as securing second place at VCT Masters Madrid and VCT Pacific Stage 1. After the departure of the three players, the current team roster includes the following members:

  • Kim "t3xture" Na-ra
  • Kim "Karon" Wontae
  • Kang "solo" Keun-chul (Head Coach)
  • Kim "HSK" Hae-seong (Coach)
