Gen.G leads without a single victory at VCT Pacific 2024 Stage 1

Currently, VCT Pacific 2024 Stage 1 is underway in South Korea, with participation aimed at Masters Shanghai. Group stages are ongoing, where the Gen.G team, without winning a single game, has secured the top spot in Group Alpha, attracting significant attention.

The tournament consists of two stages: group stage and playoffs. The group stage is divided into five and six teams, each playing against all teams from the opposite group. Since teams do not play teams from their own group, there is a possibility that some groups may finish the stage with zero or one win.

As a result, Riot Games made changes to the rules two days ago. Previously, it was required to finish in the top three in the group stage to proceed to the playoffs, now this condition is supplemented by the requirement of at least two victories. If the team in third place did not achieve two victories, their playoff spot is passed to teams from the opposite group that have won two or more games.

VCT Pacific 2024 Stage 1 is an official tournament organized by Riot Games, taking place in Seoul, South Korea, from April 6 to May 12. It features 10 partner teams and 11 teams that emerged victorious from last year's Ascension tournament, with the top three teams advancing to Masters Shanghai.
