FUT Esports decides not to renew contract with Muj

The Turkish organization, FUT Esports, has decided not to renew the contract with Serhat "Muj" Yüksel after one and a half years of collaboration. The contract ended on August 24, which the player announced on his personal Twitter account.

The FUT Esports team consists of:

  • Buğra "mojj" Kiraz
  • Doğukan "qRaxs" Balaban
  • Konur "qw1" Şahin
  • Furkan "MrFaliN" Yeğen
  • Ata "ATA KAPTAN" Tan
  • Eray "GAIS" Sarıkaya (Head Coach)

Serhat "Muj" Yüksel joined FUT in March 2022 on loan from BBL Esports, where he had spent more than eight months. He received an invite from FUT for the second stage of VRL Turkey, where he aided the team in clinching the national championship and later that year lifted the VRL Finals trophy.

Apart from Red Bull Home Ground, where he started and helped his team advance to the Manchester LAN tournament, Serhat "Muj" Yüksel was rarely in FUT's starting lineup. Last year, he only played in two matches during the ESA Open Fire All Stars and was included in the lineup only for FUT's first match in the VCT EMEA against Team Liquid. After this, he didn't play a single game for FUT and remained a substitute.

Muj's future

In addition to thanking the organization and fans, Muj mentioned that he is actively looking for a new team for any roles, but he would prefer to play as a duelist. Most likely, he will join an Arab or Turkish tier-2 level country to regain form, given that although Muj is an experienced player, he hasn't had top-tier competitive practice in a while.
