The March 21 matchday at VCT 2025: China Stage 1 was a short one, featuring only a single matchup between FunPlus Phoenix and TYLOO from Group Alpha. By the end of the match, one team had secured the top spot in the standings, while the other fell to last place.

The best-of-three match between FunPlus Phoenix and TYLOO was anything but an easy victory for FPX, despite initial predictions. After securing their opponent's map pick, Pearl, they struggled on their own choice, Icebox, losing 6-13. However, they bounced back on Haven, delivering a dominant 13-4 victory to close out the series 2-1.

With this win, FunPlus Phoenix has now secured its second victory and currently sits at the top of Group Alpha. Meanwhile, TYLOO, with two losses, remains in last place (6th out of 6 teams).

VCT 2025: China Stage 1 runs from March 13 to May 4 as a LAN event at VCT CN Arena in Shanghai. Twelve partnered teams from VCT China are competing for three slots at Masters Toronto, as well as China Points, which are crucial for qualifying for the upcoming World Championship.
