FURIA Valorant's revamped roster wins first title at Tixinha Invitational, defeating MIBR

The updated roster of Brazilian team FURIA Esports in Valorant has secured its first championship trophy by winning the Tixinha Invitational, defeating MIBR led by Erick "aspas" Santos in the final.

A Fresh Start for FURIA

Just before the Tixinha Invitational, FURIA Esports unveiled its revamped lineup, featuring two new players: Rafael "raafa" Lima and Olavo "heat" Marcelo. This event marked their debut for the Brazilian organization. Despite the presence of four other VCT teams at the tournament, making FURIA an underdog, the team surprised everyone with its impressive performance.

Dominance at the Tixinha Invitational

Not only did FURIA Esports win the Tixinha Invitational, but they also dominated the competition without suffering a single defeat. They finished the group stage with a 3-0 record. In the final, FURIA faced another Brazilian roster, MIBR, which was the clear favorite with superstar Erick "aspas" Santos. However, after a tough battle, FURIA Esports emerged victorious, claiming the Tixinha Invitational title and making a strong statement ahead of the Valorant Champions Tour 2025.

Tournament Overview

The Tixinha Invitational ran from December 9 to 15, featuring eight South American teams competing for a $10,000 prize pool. The largest share went to FURIA, who claimed $6,000. While this victory is significant, FURIA's future success at VCT 2025 remains uncertain, as they will face stronger opponents who will approach every match with utmost seriousness.
