The Brazilian organization FURIA Esports announced on January 4th through their social networks some disappointing news for their fans: they will not be seen at the Superdome 2023 - Egypt tournament, scheduled for January 11th - 13th.
FURIA Esports, one of the two teams invited to the event, withdrew from participation almost at the last moment and informed their followers about the reason for this decision. It is worth mentioning that the prize pool of the Superdome 2023 - Egypt tournament is 30,000 US dollars.
The official reasons for withdrawing from the Superdome 2023 - Egypt tournament were visa issues and a packed schedule. The team has started intensive preparation for the first tournament of the VCT 2024 season: Americas KICK-OFF, where two slots for VCT 2024: Masters Madrid will be contested.
Superdome 2023 - Egypt will take place from January 11th to 13th. Four teams, two of which received invitations and two that passed through qualifications, will compete in Cairo for the champion title and a share of the 30,000 US dollar prize pool. It is still unknown which team will replace FURIA Esports.
