FunPlus Phoenix announced the return of Chang “BerLIN” Polin to the main roster. He will replace Yang “Shr1mp” Yon, who has left the team. This information was posted on the organization's official page on the Chinese social network Weibo.
BerLIN previously played for FPX, where he was part of the team from January 2023 to March 2025. After that, he announced his retirement but decided to return to professional Valorant two months later. During his previous tenure with the team, BerLIN and FPX secured second place three times in tournaments such as VCT 2024: China Kickoff, VCT 2024: China Stage 1, and VCT 2024: China Stage 2, and also participated in VALORANT Champions 2024.
Shr1mp was part of FPX from March to April 2025. During this short period, he participated in VCT 2025: China Stage 1, where the team placed 9-10 and did not advance to the next stage. According to the official statement, the departure of Shr1mp was amicable, and FPX expressed gratitude for his professionalism, composure in difficult situations, and contribution to the team's atmosphere.
The next event for the team will be the VALORANT China Evolution Series Act 2, which will take place from May 15 to 25. The success of BerLIN's return will be evaluated during this tournament.
