Former professional player joins FURIA as assistant coach

The Brazilian organization FURIA has announced the signing of former professional player Lucas "lukzera" Soares as an assistant coach for the upcoming VCT 2024 regular season.

Former player Lucas "lukzera" Soares, who recently, namely after the end of this year's season, announced the end of his playing career, where he managed to win over $6,000 in prize money. He has joined FURIA as an assistant coach and proudly announced it on his Twitter page, expressing gratitude to the club's management for the opportunity given to him.

Lucas "lukzera" Soares

For Lucas "lukzera" Soares, this will be his first experience in a coaching staff. He will assist the experienced head coach Pedro "Koy" Pulig, who previously led one of his teams to the World Championship in 2021. The CEO of FURIA previously announced that in addition to lukzera, the management plans to strengthen the coaching staff with another 3-4 individuals. It is not yet known exactly which candidates are being referred to.

 
 

The first serious challenge for the updated FURIA coaching staff will be the preparation and participation in the Superdome 2023 - Colombia tournament, which will take place from November 10 to 12. Four invited teams will compete for a prize pool of $30,000.
