Former Crest Gaming Zst player Art takes a pause in his Valorant esports career

Japanese esports athlete Art, whose contract with Crest Gaming Zst was terminated on January 10, announced that he will not be participating in the regular season, particularly in the upcoming VCJ 2024 tournament. He also added that he will be stepping away from the player's stage, as mentioned on his Twitter profile.

On January 10, Crest Gaming Zst announced the mutual termination of the contract with Art. His decision to withdraw from participation before the start of the VCJ open qualifier round sparked considerable surprise. Art stated that he will not be participating in VCJ during Split 1 and will focus on areas such as streaming and coaching.

Art, the In-Game Leader (IGL) who led Jadeite to the second spot in the country in the 2023 season, revealed that it was challenging for him to find a team during this offseason, stating, "99.999% of players retire." Meanwhile, CGZ announced Art joining in October of the previous year and secured the second spot in the offseason Predator League qualifiers in Japan.
