On December 15, alongside the SOOP VALORANT LEAGUE 2024, another tournament concluded — the ONE PRO INVITATIONAL 2024, held in Yokohama, Japan. Organized by Riot Games as part of their annual festival, the event featured competitions across all their games, including Valorant.
The tournament featured only four directly invited teams: Leviatán, Fnatic, DetonatioN FocusMe, and ZETA Division. It was more of a showcase event than a competitive tournament, with no prize pool and primarily serving as preparation for teams to refine strategies ahead of the Valorant Champions Tour 2025.
While all teams displayed solid performances, Leviatán, the bronze medalists of Champions 2024, struggled to meet expectations. They lost two out of three matches, managing to secure a single victory against Fnatic. Ironically, Fnatic went on to claim the tournament championship.
For Leviatán's revamped roster, featuring new additions Demon1 and nataNk, this was their first outing. Although the results were underwhelming, it's important to note the showcase nature of the event. With the best-of-one format and the tournament's low stakes, their performance shouldn't be taken as a definitive indicator. The true potential of the team will be revealed at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025: Americas Kickoff next year.
The Riot Games ONE PRO INVITATIONAL 2024 ran from December 14 to 15, bringing together four teams at Riot's annual event. Fnatic emerged as the strongest, showcasing their readiness for the upcoming competitive season.
