Fnatic - The first team from EMEA to secure a slot at Valorant Champions 2024

The Valorant World Championship is approaching, and we are increasingly learning the names of teams that will compete for the massive prize pool and the title of the strongest. Recently, it was revealed that the first club from the European region heading to the tournament is Fnatic.

For the "Oranges," the trip to the World Championship became possible thanks to their victory in yesterday's match within the group stage of VCT 2024 EMEA Stage 2. In it, Fnatic easily defeated Team Liquid with scores of 13-2 on Icebox and 13-9 on Haven. As a result, the team advanced to the playoffs of the tournament.

However, the playoff stage of VCT 2024 EMEA Stage 2 is not the most important thing the team achieved. Thanks to their victory and advancing to the playoffs, the team has already secured a high position in the current tournament. This means that Fnatic will definitely receive the minimum number of EMEA Points needed to qualify for the championship. Due to good results during Stage 1, the team earned 9 EMEA Points, and due to their current results in Stage 2, they have already earned at least 4 EMEA Points. Thus, the "Oranges" have earned a total of at least 13 EMEA Points, which puts them in the first position in the overall standings and makes them the first team from the European region to qualify for Valorant Champions 2024 by points.
