Failure at VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Stage 3 resulted in Acend losing its female roster

The European organization Acend announced on its official Twitter page that they are disbanding the female Valorant division. On November 2nd, the entire roster moved to the substitute bench.

The Acend Rising team had a successful run in the VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Season 2023. The first and second stages concluded with the team securing a respectable third-place finish. The main reason for the roster's dissolution was the setback at VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Stage 3, where the club came close to victory, securing the second spot in the competition, but it did not allow them to advance further to the Women's World Championship in 2023.

Several former members of the Acend Rising roster bid farewell to the organization, expressing gratitude for the journey they undertook together.

I want to thank Acend for everything and for giving us the opportunity to come back when we were on the bench. I am very grateful, and it has been a great journey with everyone I've met over the past 1.5 years.

Coach Antonio "Aska" Lozano also joined in the farewell tweets from the team.

"From my side, I just have to thank the team and Acend for the trust placed in me throughout this year and wish them luck in everything that lies ahead. It has been a stage full of good moments, and personally, I enjoyed it a lot."

It is possible that Acend Rising will assemble a new roster for the VCT 2024 season, but as of now, there have been no publications or rumors about it. Stay tuned with us for updates on what's happening within the Acend organization.
