f0rsakeN from Paper Rex detailed an unconventional agent selection in the match against T1 on February 24th. The sixth day of the VCT PACIFIC 2024 KICK-OFF competition took place, where the Paper Rex team emerged victorious with a score of 2-0 against T1. The PRX team's choice of three duelists on the first map particularly caught the spectators' attention.

This victory secured Paper Rex qualification for Masters Madrid. On the first map, Split, PRX showcased a unique pick, opting for three duelists where something, Monyet, and f0rsakeN took on the roles of attackers. The match was so intense that it ended with a score of 16-14 in favor of PRX, thanks to f0rsakeN 33 kills.

On the second map, Ascent, PRX continued their dominance and secured a victory with a score of 13-6, solidifying their 2-0 win over T1 and securing their spot in Masters Madrid. In an interview after the match, f0rsakeN explained why they decided to use such an agent pick.

He noted that this decision was prompted by recent balance changes, particularly in the nerfs to Sky abilities, which prevented the team from effectively utilizing that agent. He also mentioned that this approach proved more successful and allowed the team to succeed in all rounds. Interestingly, during this tournament, f0rsakeN showcased a wide range of agents, including Fade on the second map, once again highlighting his abilities and ability to adapt to the situation.

Following the tournament victory, the Singaporean team advanced to VCT 2024 Masters Madrid, which will take place in Spain from March 14th.
