On December 27, the Japanese esports team Jadeite announced a temporary suspension of its operations. The organization terminated contracts with all players from its CS2 division and streamers, marking the end of its nearly three-year history.
Jadeite was founded in August 2021 and developed teams in disciplines such as VALORANT, Apex Legends, CS2, as well as its streaming division. The team entered the professional VALORANT scene in November 2021, collaborating with renowned players like allow, Hate, SylFy, Anker, muto, Akame, Art, Brofeld, iZu, and sakurai.
The team achieved its greatest success during the 2023 season. After signing players such as Art, Brofeld, iZu, Akame, and muto, Jadeite faced challenges in the open qualifiers for Split 1 of the VCJ 2023 tournament. However, they made significant progress in Split 2, defeating FENNEL and Crazy Raccoon. In the playoffs, the team secured second place in Japan, falling to SCARZ in the finals. Despite their success, the organization unexpectedly parted ways with all players and coaches, surprising fans.

Although plans were made to resume activities with a new roster, in November, Jadeite announced the disbandment of its VALORANT division. In an official statement, team representatives cited financial difficulties as the reason:
After analyzing the situation and holding discussions, we concluded that we would not be able to continue competing in 2024. The main reason is the high operational costs, which significantly exceed the budget available to a small team.
Thus, Jadeite ended its operations, leaving a notable mark on the history of Japanese esports.
