The regional qualifiers in the Chinese region started earlier than others and are now nearing their conclusion. Only one match remains, but even without it, the name of the second team heading to Masters Bangkok was revealed today.
Result of the match between EDward Gaming and BiliBili Gaming
A few minutes ago, the lower bracket final match concluded, featuring BiliBili Gaming against EDward Gaming, and it was relatively calm. Despite the match being a best-of-five format, viewers didn’t get to see all five maps. EDward Gaming fought hard on the first map, Pearl, taking it to overtime and securing a 14-12 victory. However, the following maps were one-sided. A comfortable 13-6 win on Haven and a dominant 13-5 on Lotus earned the team a clean 3-0 victory in the series.
As a result, EDward Gaming advances to the grand final, where they will face Trace Esports tomorrow in a chance to take revenge for being sent to the lower bracket earlier. Regardless of the outcome of the match, both EDward Gaming and their upcoming opponents have secured their spots at Masters Bangkok. Meanwhile, BiliBili Gaming exits the event in 3rd place, earning 1 China Point for their team.
The VCT 2025: China Kickoff takes place from January 11 to 25 in a LAN format at the VCT CN Arena in Shanghai. Twelve partnered teams from the VCT program are competing for two spots at Masters Bangkok and valuable China Points, which are critical for qualifying for the World Championship.
