EDward Gaming took down DRG, while TEC Esports edged out TYLOO during the group stage of VCT 2025: China Stage 1. For both teams, these were their second victories in three matches during the opening stage of the tournament.
TEC Esports vs TYLOO
The clash between TEC Esports and TYLOO was a tense one, going the full distance across three maps. TEC Esports emerged victorious with a 2:1 scoreline. TYLOO started strong with a 13:10 win on Fracture, but TEC bounced back confidently on Icebox (13:8) and closed it out on Split (13:7).

Two initiators stood out in this match: Slowly from TYLOO dropped 57 kills with a 165 ADR, while TEC’s Rb tallied 53 frags with 149 ADR. TYLOO’s duelist, Ninebody, struggled to make an impact — finishing with just 44 kills over three maps, 14 fewer than TEC’s TvirusLuke.


EDward Gaming vs Dragon Ranger Gaming
The second match of the day was just as thrilling. It began with a blowout on Icebox, EDward Gaming’s pick, where the reigning world champions dominated 13:2. But things got much tougher on Ascent, DRG’s map choice. The underdogs pushed back hard, and despite EDG’s efforts, DRG closed it out 13:9.

The decider map, Pearl, was tightly contested. The turning point came in Round 19 when CHICHOO pulled off a clutch ace, giving EDG the momentum. In Round 22, they sealed a critical 2v4 clutch, breaking DRG’s morale. Unable to recover, DRG fell on the final map, and the series ended 2:1 in EDward Gaming’s favor.

VCT 2025: China Stage 1 runs from March 13 to May 4 in a LAN format at the VCT CN Arena in Shanghai. Twelve partnered VCT China teams are competing for three spots at Masters Toronto and valuable China Points needed to qualify for the upcoming Champions.
