DRX focuses on the younger generation - The team promotes a player from the academy to the main roster in Valorant

Today, the Korean team DRX announced the beginning of a new strategy. From what can be inferred, the club plans to focus on young professionals to strengthen their championship ambitions for next year.

DRX representatives have reported that Cho “Flashback” Min-hyuk, from the academic squad DRX Prospects, will soon join the main team. In their official Twitter account, the club posted a video announcement showcasing the best moments of the newcomer during recent tournaments.

Flashback, an 18-year-old esports athlete, is considered one of the most talented players in the Pacific region. He has been at the top of the Radiant ranking for a long time and has had success in competitive gaming, winning several tournaments with DRX Prospects. Before getting a chance in the main lineup, Flashback played for DRX in two offseason tournaments: the TEN VALORANT Global Invitational and Red Bull Home Ground #4. He showed good results in both tournaments, and in the match against the Chinese team EDward Gaming, he earned the MVP title, surpassing other players in the main lineup.

It is also worth noting that the DRX roster currently has six players, so it can be assumed that Flashback will initially be on the bench. If the young player continues to show good results, he may become a key member of the team next year.
