Dext ends his career in Valorant due to poor conditions on the tier-2 scene

The tier-2 Challengers scene in Valorant has often been a stumbling block for various players and even entire organizations, and recently, another incident occurred. Slovak player Norbert "Dext" Paulovčák is ending his career in Valorant precisely because of the poor conditions in the second competitive division.

The tier-2 scene stifled a champion organization

It’s worth noting that this is not the first time that the terrible conditions on the tier-2 scene have led players and even entire teams to leave Valorant. Recently, this fate befell the European organization Acend, which won the world championship in 2021. Recently, the management announced that the poor conditions in the tier-2 scene do not allow the organization to be confident about the team's future, and therefore, they decided to leave Valorant. The story of Dext

In his official social media accounts, Norbert "Dext" Paulovčák recently announced that he is ending his professional career in Valorant, citing the terrible conditions and lack of return on the tier-2 scene as the reasons. According to the player, after leaving his last team, EX0TIK GAMING, two months ago, he was highly motivated to train and achieve something in the future. To do this, he practiced for 12 hours a day, improving his skills. However, after two months, he received no offers, which caused him to lose all desire and motivation.

I think after all the crap that’s happening in the t2 scene, it’s time to announce that I’m going to take an indefinite break from competing in Valorant. My motivation was high after EX0, so I worked 12 hours a day all summer to get 0 offers, and I realized there’s no point in continuing to compete, earning pennies while trying to survive in this crappy industry. I can spend my time focusing on studying and working.

It’s worth noting that Norbert doesn’t regret his time spent in Valorant. He says these were the best times of his life, but blames the tier-2 scene with its terrible conditions.
