Developers of Valorant closed a trick on the Sunset map after the 8.02 patch update

In mid-December, information emerged in the Valorant community about a small trick - a jump under the A main on the Sunset map, which previously allowed safely gathering information about opponents coming out of the A zone. However, after the release of the new 8.02 patch, developers decided to close this possibility.

During the Mandatory Cup #3 offseason tournament, held from December 13th to 19th, 2023, the European team GoNext Esports demonstrated a maneuver on the Sunset map in a match against Acend, which allowed identifying who was coming out of the A main using a special jump.

This trick provided players with an advantage in predicting opponents' actions and helped effectively react to their movements. However, the height of the jump after the update turned out to be insufficient for a full view of the territory, which eliminated the possibility of using this tactic.

Game patches and updates often make changes to gameplay to maintain balance and interest in the game. However, there's no need to be upset, as such tricks are only a small part of the gameplay that has minimal impact on your victory.
