From November 21 to December 1, 2024, the major inter-season tournament, VALORANT Radiant Asia Invitational, will take place in Chengdu, China, featuring some of the top teams from across Asia. Japan will be represented by DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM), joining teams from China, Korea, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Participants and Format

The tournament will host eight teams from various countries, including titans like EDward Gaming, DRX, and Paper Rex, all known for their Champions performances. After placing fourth in the recent Red Bull Home Ground qualifier in the Asia-Pacific region, DetonatioN FocusMe has gained fan attention and is ready for this serious test in Chengdu.

The competition will unfold in two stages: an initial Swiss Stage, where teams with two wins will progress to the playoffs, and those with two losses will be eliminated. The playoff stage will follow a double-elimination format, with only the final matches being played in a best-of-five (BO5) series.

Opponents and DFM’s First Match

In their opening match, DFM will face Chinese team EDward Gaming, Champions 2024 winners. This intense matchup is expected to draw the attention of Japanese fans and viewers worldwide. The game is scheduled for November 22.
