At the current VCT 2025: Pacific Kickoff tournament in Korea, DetonatioN FocusMe faced Rex Regum Qeon in their opening match and lost 1-2. Team players Art and Meiy shared their thoughts on the game in post-match interviews.

Meiy on the loss:

We won the first map, but in terms of content, we lost. On the second map, we could only win two or three rounds. It was a complete defeat, and I feel disappointed. I don't know what to do next, sorry I can't express my feelings clearly.

Art on his perspective of the match:

My strong point is reading the game, but they used such persistent and basic tactics against us, which we hadn't even encountered in practice. We couldn't do anything. After the middle of the game, I felt like I should have taken control of the situation, but I ended up being the one who was supposed to lead the team and couldn't do it. I made a lot of mistakes and couldn’t respond to the team, which makes me feel guilty.

Art also shared plans for the next match:

Our next opponent is Team Secret, and their playstyle is similar to RRQ's, so we need to strengthen our basic preparation. We didn't show individual play in today's match; it was too much of a team game, and we need to fix that to win the next match.

 

The team has openly stated that they are determined to win and are ready to intensify their preparations for the next meeting.
