DetonatioN FocusMe and Crazy Raccoon: Collaboration or Takeover?

The Japanese team DetonatioN FocusMe has announced changes to its roster. On February 8th, it was officially announced that coaches Suggest, JoXJo, and XrayN would be departing, and a partnership with the organization Crazy Raccoon would begin.

These changes followed the announcement on February 5th of the departure of players Suggest and JoXJo, as well as coach XrayN, and the simultaneous addition of player Medusa. However, the decision drew criticism due to the timing, as VCT PACIFIC was on the horizon and the Challenger league had already been held. The team emphasized that these steps were the result of careful discussions within the collective and were based on trials and reflections.

The main advantages of the new lineup, including Medusa, are highlighted as "precise coordination and agility in the game". DFM expressed their intention to demonstrate significant changes compared to the previous year.

The roster changes led to four main members of CR joining DFM. Speculations about CR influence on the decision were voiced on social media, considering their extensive partnership contract signed last November.

DFM clarified that their collaboration with CR is limited to "promotion, merchandise sales, event participation, and other forms of cooperation". They emphasized that players remain under the DetonatioN FocusMe banner, and operational work and player support remain the responsibility of DFM. This completely refutes the rumors surrounding the collaboration of the two organizations.
