Derke leaves Fnatic after three years and joins Team Vitality

Even the top team in the European region, Fnatic, which was one of the strongest teams in 2023, couldn't maintain its Valorant roster. It was recently revealed that main roster player Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev is leaving the team and moving to Team Vitality.

Derke's career at Fnatic

Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev is a 21-year-old Finnish-Russian player who was the backbone of Fnatic for the past three and a half years. During this time, he became one of the most recognized players on the professional Valorant scene and earned numerous awards. His achievements with Fnatic include: 2nd place at VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík, 5th-6th place at VALORANT Champions 2021, 4th place at VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen, 5th-6th place at VALORANT Champions 2022, 1st place at VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, 1st place at VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo, 4th place at VALORANT Champions 2023, and 1st place at VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 2. Thanks to these results, Derke not only helped the team become one of the most decorated in the world but also established himself as one of the wealthiest players.

Joining Team Vitality

Despite his long career at Fnatic, Derke did not take a break from the competitive scene. Immediately after leaving the "Orange" squad, Derke officially joined another European team, Team Vitality, as announced by the team's representatives on their official social media channels.

Unlike Fnatic, the French team hasn't achieved exceptional success on the competitive Valorant stage but remains part of the VCT EMEA partnership program, making the "Bees" one of the most well-known teams. Now, Derke will aim to improve the team's position and lead them to new titles.

It should be noted that the team currently has no scheduled tournaments for the offseason, so we might only see the updated roster during the next competitive season.
