The Brazilian organization MIBR showed rather mediocre results during 2024, which made changes to the main roster inevitable. As expected, the team parted ways with four players, and yesterday it was announced that two newcomers, cortezia and xenom, have joined the squad.
Roster changes
As mentioned earlier, the team did not secure any podium finishes during VCT 2024. Two 11th-place finishes at VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1 and Stage 2 deprived MIBR of the chance to attend any international events in 2024. This led to significant changes in the lineup, which occurred last week. As a result, four players from the main roster: rich, Palla, mazin, and liazzi—left the team. Two newcomers join amid aspas rumors
Despite these major changes, the team has already started preparing for the new season, and yesterday it was revealed that two players, Gabriel "cortezia" Cortez and Eduardo "xenom" Soeiro, have joined the club. Both are newcomers to the VCT scene, previously competing in the tier-2 Challengers league. Despite their relative inexperience, they showed promising performances this year, participating in the VALORANT Challengers 2024 Brazil: Split 2.
Additionally, rumors are circulating online that MIBR plans to sign the biggest star of the Brazilian scene, aspas, who is reportedly responsible for selecting all the players for the revamped roster.
It is still unclear when exactly the star player will join the Brazilian club, but with the Valorant offseason nearing its end, it’s likely we’ll find out very soon.
