Rumors: MIBR Valorant agrees with Leviatan on buying out aspas

The MIBR organization has received a positive response from Leviatan regarding the buyout of Erick "aspas" Santos' contract. The Brazilian club plans to build a roster around the player for VCT 2025, following his recommendations.

Player's Desire

A few weeks ago, aspas expressed his desire to leave Leviatan, where he helped the team win VCT 2024: Americas Stage 2 and secure third place at VALORANT Champions 2024. According to insiders, aspas decided to leave because his opinions were not considered during discussions on key team decisions. Initially, the player intended to move to a team from the Pacific or China, but the only serious offer from BLEED Esports fell through when the organization exited VCT.

Contract Buyout

After the deal with BLEED Esports fell apart, aspas risked remaining on the bench, as few organizations could afford to buy out his contract, which is reportedly worth at least $250,000. MIBR became one of those whose offer caught Leviatan's management's interest. According to journalist brunopovoleri, negotiations on the deal have significantly progressed.

aspas Is Interested

aspas himself is also interested in this transfer. The main factors were the presence of fRoD as head coach, with whom he previously worked at LOUD and lifted the Valorant Champions 2022 trophy, as well as the Brazilian club's willingness to consider his opinion, including the signing of nzr as captain.
