Convergence 2023: Success of the first edition and promise of more in 2024

Convergence, a major esports event organized by Riot Games and The Esports Club, will return to India in 2024. The event, which took place in Bangalore from December 14 to 17, 2023, attracted over 10,000 participants and was marked as a success by both players and spectators.

In the tournament featuring six teams from three regions, FUT Esports emerged victorious over Team Vitality with a score of 3:2 in the finals. The overall prize pool for the event amounted to $50,000.

We are grateful to the players, teams, sponsors, partners, and especially our Indian fans for making Convergence 2023 an unprecedented success. The passion exhibited by our fans is our driving force and a constant source of inspiration. Congratulations to FUT Esports for their outstanding performance, as well as all participating teams for their dedication and sportsmanship. Convergence will return with a bigger and more exciting edition in 2024.

Convergence is part of Riot Games' strategy to develop esports in India. Last year, the company launched Valorant Champions South Asia (VCSA), a regional Valorant tournament, and supported teams from India in other international competitions.
