The release of Valorant on gaming consoles is a major event that has significantly increased the game’s community and its popularity. Because of this, Riot Games gifted unique rewards to the first players who achieved the Radiant rank on gaming consoles, which upset PC users who have been receiving the same rewards for four consecutive years.
Rewards for Console Players
A few days ago, a Twitter user with the nickname Spencer - Drxnky shared an interesting image on his account. As it turns out, Valorant's official representatives gave him a unique statue featuring Wingman, a character from Agent Gekko, holding a Radiant rank badge. The description explained that this gift was sent because Drxnky was one of the first 15 players in the world to reach the Radiant rank on consoles.

Reaction from PC Players and Riot's Response
This post caught the attention of a well-known content creator, RemValorant, who pointed out that console players are receiving unique gifts, while PC players have been receiving the same gunbuddies for four years straight. He added that this demotivates some players, as their hard work is only rewarded with the same gunbuddy. Valorant brand manager Kyle Calkins responded to this complaint. After discussing some issues with the content creator, the Riot Games representative promised to raise the topic. It’s worth noting that, for all their efforts in reaching the highest rank, players only receive a simple gunbuddy, which has remained unchanged for 9 episodes.
It is still unknown when Riot representatives plan to address this issue or if they will at all. Both regular and professional players have been complaining about the poor rewards for the Radiant rank for the fourth year in a row, but so far, there has been no reaction or changes. We will be waiting for official comments from the developers.
