Cloud9 won the American qualifiers for Red Bull Home Ground #5 and advanced to the main event

The Valorant offseason has just begun, and many exciting tournaments lie ahead. One such tournament, Red Bull Home Ground #5, is currently hosting qualifiers, and yesterday another team secured their spot for the upcoming event.

What is known about Red Bull Home Ground #5

Red Bull Home Ground #5 is a renowned tournament, now in its fifth iteration, taking place during the Valorant offseason. It is organized by Red Bull in collaboration with Riot Games, with sponsors including Blacklyte, AOC, and Jeep. While this event is part of the offseason, it typically features the strongest teams from Riot's partner program across various regions, such as Cloud9 and Fnatic. The prize pool for this year's event is still unknown, but in previous years it was $100,000, so we can assume the amount will remain unchanged this year.

Cloud9's victory and invitation to the event

Teams qualify for the tournament in two ways: by direct invitation from the organizers or through qualifiers. Cloud9 secured their spot through the latter. Yesterday, the Red Bull Home Ground #5: North America Play-In concluded, where Cloud9 faced off against Sentinels in the grand final. Although Sentinels are considered the stronger team, they recently lost two core players, allowing Cloud9 to defeat them with scores of 13-9 on Lotus and 13-10 on Bind, securing their place in the main event.
