Changes in the Oxygen Esports roster: Rustun transitions to the position of assistant coach, and dapr joins in his place

Yesterday, representatives of the American organization Oxygen Esports announced on their Twitter account about changes to their Valorant roster. Rustun "Rustun" Lusk returns to the position of assistant coach, and he is replaced by former G2 Esports player - Michael "dapr" Gulino.

Rustun "Rustun" Lusk joined the Oxygen Academy's lineup in February 2022 as a player, after which he transitioned to the main team in the role of assistant coach. After the team parted ways with one of the players in April 2023, Rustun left the coaching staff and rejoined the playing roster. During his tenure as a player, he participated in the VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Challenger Playoffs, where his team finished in 4th place. Now, it has become known that Oxygen Esports has signed a new member, Michael "dapr" Gulino, which means Rustun returned to the coaching staff.

Who is dapr?

The 24-year-old professional American player has vast experience on the professional Valorant scene. During his career, he's had stints in renowned clubs such as Sentinels and G2 Esports. With the former, Michael had his best season in 2021 when his team won CT 2021: North America Stage 1 Masters and VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík. With the latter, the American player didn't achieve notable success. The last significant tournament for the team - VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Challenger Playoffs, ended with a 5-6th place finish, and as a result, the team didn't make it to the important Challengers Ascension 2023.

We remind that ahead for the team is a minor tournament during the off-season - The Knight's Forge, where 20 teams, including Oxygen Esports, compete for a prize pool of $20,000.
