Does changing the language in Valorant really increase FPS?

FPS is one of the most important factors in any game, including Valorant. Recently, the gaming community shared an interesting way to increase your FPS, and now we will test its effectiveness.

How to increase FPS

On his official Twitter account, professional player and current member of Team Vitality, Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel, shared some intriguing information. He claimed that changing the language pack in Valorant could increase or decrease your FPS and asked followers to verify this information in the comments. While most of his readers claimed that it wasn’t true, the Bo3 editorial team decided to conduct a small experiment.

Test results

First, we disabled vertical synchronization (V-Sync) and removed the FPS limit in Valorant. It’s worth noting that the experiment was conducted on medium and high settings, so there’s no information about the impact of language changes on low settings. After that, we entered the training field and selected the agent Fade. In English, as seen above, the FPS was 156. Next, we switched to French and repeated the same actions, and the FPS value increased to 162.

It should be noted that in both cases, the FPS fluctuated between 150 and 170, so it can be stated that changing the language didn’t lead to improvements. We also tested Portuguese and Turkish, but the results remained the same. Therefore, it can be confidently stated that changing the language won’t increase your FPS.

It’s worth mentioning that if you want more FPS in Valorant, we recommend setting up the game correctly. You can do this by following our guide on the best settings for maximum performance.
