Brazilian professional player Xand banned during a tournament for racist comments made seven years ago

According to the online portal Dexerto, Alexandre "xand" Zizi received a ban during the Multiplatform Esports Game 2023. This followed the emergence of videos with his racist remarks, which he made seven years ago during his career in CS:GO.

Alexandre "xand" Zizi is a former professional CS:GO player who, during his career, played for many top teams in the Brazilian region. He later transitioned to Valorant, where he is currently an inactive member of 00Nation. During one of the matches at the Multiplatform Esports Game 2023, where Alexandre was playing as a substitute, tournament organizers banned him and disqualified him from the event. This was due to the circulation of a video online where xand, during a CS:GO match, made negative comments about one of the players, including racist remarks.

Following this, the professional himself responded to the statement and clarified the situation. He stated that this was a one-time incident in his career, which happened 7 years ago, and there have been no similar incidents since.

Everyone saw that it never happened again, I'm not the same person and I'm going to prove it to you. I don't know what my future will be, but I just want to apologize for the pain I've caused. I understand these are the consequences of my actions and I'm not proud of what I've done.

The further fate of the player is currently unknown, but there is a high likelihood that Riot Games may sideline xand in the upcoming competitive season. Continue to follow our portal so as not to miss any news from the professional Valorant scene.
