BiliBili Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix are the next teams to depart from Valorant China Evolution Series Act 2: Selection

The decisive group stage matches of the second phase of the Valorant China Evolution Series recently concluded. As a result of their losses, BiliBili Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix are leaving the event, taking the 5th-6th places.

BiliBili Gaming were the favorites from the Chinese region, so this outcome surprised all the team's fans. During the group stage, the team secured a win against Trace Esports with a score of 2-1 but later lost twice with a score of 0-2 against EDward Gaming and Trace Esports. FunPlus Phoenix's performance was somewhat expected, considering that the team has been seen as underdogs since the last championship. The "Phoenixes" lost to Attacking Soul with a score of 0-2, but later won against TYLOO in an elimination match. Despite this, their decisive match against Rare Atom ended in a clean defeat of 0-2.

Based on the results, both teams leave the qualifiers in 5th-6th positions, each earning $1,666. It should be noted that Valorant China Evolution is akin to the Contenders' League in other regions. Thus, for both of these teams, which already have partnerships with Riot Games, being eliminated from the tournament is a minor setback.
