Benkai seeks new opportunities after leaving Global Esports

September 18 Benkai, Indian eSports team player Global Esports, announced he was looking for new offers through his X (formerly Twitter) account. He said he was considering opportunities not only for the IGL role, but also for the assistant coach position.

Now 27 years old Benkai started his career in eSports in 2015 by playing CS. He proved himself in such Asian teams as B.O.O.T-ds, Huat Zai and Paper Rex, and in February 2021 he made the move to Valorant. Together with the players causeN, d4v41 and mind freaks he moved from CS to Valorant as part of Paper Rex.

Despite the late start in Valorant competitions, Benkai and his team have achieved significant success by winning VCT 2022 APAC Stage 1 and Stage 2 in a row. As representatives of Asia, they also competed at VCT 2022 Masters Reykjavík and VCT 2022 Masters Copenhagen, where they took 4th and 2nd places respectively.

However, after this Benkai was forced to leave the team midway through the VCT Pacific 2023 season after new players CGRS and something. In September 2023, he signed a contract with Global Esports, but the team finished the group stage of VCT Pacific 2024 with a record of 3 wins and 7 losses. Despite his efforts as IGL, the team failed to make the playoffs.
