BBL Queens breezed through the grand final of VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA Series 3, not losing a single match, including the group stage of the tournament. While Acend Rising's journey was tougher than the first, they also dominated their group during the group stage. However, in the playoffs, the team faced difficulties and lost to Team Falcons Vega.
This match was crucial and challenging for both teams, as it was their last chance to qualify for the world championship. BBL Queens clearly appeared as favorites in this encounter, being at the peak of their form, and their only head-to-head encounter ended in victory for the Turkish club.
The grand final followed a best-of-five format and concluded in four maps. BBL Queens successfully defended their title of "unbeatable" and secured a victory over Acend Rising with a score of 3:1 (Haven 13:11, Lotus 13:4, Ascent 12:14, Split 13:5). The runner-up takes the second place and receives 6,000 euros, while the winner advances to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Game Changers Championship.
VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Game Changers Championship will take place from November 28th to December 3rd in São Paulo, Brazil. The event is organized by Riot Games and will be held at the Arena CBLOL. Eight teams from different corners of the world, who have qualified, will compete for the title of world champion and the prize pool. Detailed information about the prize pool is not available yet. Last year, the prize pool amounted to 500,000 dollars.
