Today it became known that at the upcoming AfreecaTV VALORANT LEAGUE, one of the teams is receiving an unexpected substitution. The Vietnamese esports team Fancy United Esports, a week before the start of the tournament, announced a new participant.
As reported by the organization's representatives on their official social networks, one of the main roster members, Phan "Gin" Văn Gin, due to certain problems, was unable to obtain a visa to Korea. Because of this, the club was forced to make an unexpected substitution, with Singaporean professional Rodman "Vera" Yap becoming the new player who will compete as part of Fancy United Esports.
The situation for the team is not very favorable, because Gin plays the role of a duelist, which is one of the most important positions in the game. Therefore, the newcomer needs to manage in a week to perfectly cooperate with his teammates, as well as prepare for the clash with the top teams of other regions.
Remember, the AfreecaTV VALORANT LEAGUE will take place from December 5 to 10 in a LAN format in Seoul. The tournament will feature eight teams, six of which received direct invitations, and two more, including Fancy Esports, passed through qualifiers in their regions. Teams will compete for a significant prize pool of $80,000.
