Players of both shooters from Valve and Riot Games often engage in various collaborations, such as matches in one discipline or another, comparisons of mechanics, and of course, debates over which game is better. Often, enthusiasts and professional developers design maps from one shooter in another, and a recent example of this has just been revealed.
Level and map designer Antferny shared an interesting video on his YouTube channel, where he transferred the Haven map from Valorant to CS2. It's worth noting that this is not the first instance of this particular map being transferred to the Valve shooter. A few weeks ago, JPARKJMC, who currently works in Riot Games' development department, also shared his successes in transferring the map, and even more, showed guides for smoke and grenade throws on the new and unusual map for the CS community. Read more about this in our article. However, unlike his predecessor, Antferny showed not just short clips but a full video in which he explained how he modeled the map.
The creator mentioned that he initially planned to take an already existing map from CS 2 and simply remodel it, but later abandoned this idea. He began manually creating each block and detail, which ultimately impressed his viewers. The video also shows how Antferny designs the map to be as close to the original as possible. It's unknown how much time the developer spent on this, but comments from viewers suggest that it took more than 20 hours.
Note that this is not Antferny's first work on transferring a map from Valorant to CS 2. A few months ago, he similarly recreated the Ascent map. In the future, the content creator promised more similar projects, so we will be following his successes.
