The meta in Valorant is constantly evolving because developers regularly nerf strong agents and buff weaker ones, keeping interest in all of them alive. At the end of 2024, we already created our own tier list of agents, but much has changed since then. A new agent, Tejo, was released, and he is undoubtedly one of the strongest. Additionally, a major patch has once again reshaped the current meta. That is why today, our editorial team has prepared a Valorant tier list 2025, which will help you navigate the current agent meta.
What You’ll Find in Our Article
Before we begin, let’s briefly outline what you will find in this material. Notably, a player from the top 3000 on the EU server helped us compile this ranking.
- Agent tier list after patch 10.02
- Analysis of their ranking positions
- Recommendations for optimal picks
Tier S

- Tejo
- Clove
- Cypher
- Sova
- Jett
Opening our Valorant agent tier list are the agents that, at the time of writing, are considered the strongest by our editorial team. Clearly, the first among them is the newest Initiator, Tejo, who joined the game only a month ago. His strength lies in the immense damage his abilities deal, as well as the general lack of knowledge among players on how to counter him. Of course, over time, he will be nerfed, and players will learn his mechanics perfectly, but until that happens, we recommend using Tejo, especially since he can be unlocked completely for free.
Cypher remains the strongest Sentinel, and Sova is still the best Initiator in our opinion. The only agent on the verge of dropping from S-tier is Jett. While she remains one of the top Duelists thanks to her mobility, many believe she no longer deserves such a high ranking. However, we think that among all weaker Duelists, Jett is still the strongest, which is why we placed her in Tier S.
Tier A

- Astra
- Gekko
- Omen
- Reyna
- Vyse
- Sage
- Raze
Continuing our Valorant character tier list are agents who, while not the absolute best, can still serve as excellent alternatives if you don’t have access to S-tier characters, as they are only slightly weaker.
We particularly want to highlight two Controllers: Astra and Omen. While Omen has consistently held a high position since his release, Astra has only now climbed into Tier A in our ranking. This is largely due to the EMEA Kickoff 2025 tournament, where Astra was chosen more frequently than other smokers. Based on the professional players' preferences, we decided to rank Astra highly as well.
The best Valorant agents for Duelist remain Reyna and Raze. They are still easy to learn and suitable for both beginners and experienced players. In 1v1 duels, Reyna is arguably still the strongest agent. Additionally, we included the new agent Vyse in Tier A. While many consider her weak, we believe most players have yet to unlock her full potential. Special attention should be given to her Shear ability, which makes site defense significantly easier.

Tier B
![](https://files.bo3.gg/uploads/image/71207/image/webp-711f9130b37a1b3c71d92d0dff32b6b2.webp)
- Viper
- Killjoy
- Iso
- Phoenix
- Fade
- Yoru
- Breach
- KAY/O
- Brimstone
Tier B contains the largest number of agents, as we believe that, at the moment, most Valorant characters are relatively weak. These agents cannot be considered the best agents in Valorant, but they are still viable picks if necessary.
One agent worth noting is Viper, a former meta favorite who now sits near the bottom. Following a series of nerfs, she has become one of the weakest Controllers. However, Viper can still be useful. A GIANTX professional player we recently interviewed stated that she still has a role to play. Based on his insights, we chose not to drop Viper into Tier C and kept her where she is.
Tier C
![](https://files.bo3.gg/uploads/image/71208/image/webp-89f1d589b95266c42eacad0cffc8173f.webp)
- Harbor
- Deadlock
- Neon
- Skye
- Chamber
The last agents on our list are definitely not Valorant meta agents. This group consists of characters that are currently the weakest in the game. Neon, who was once the best Duelist, has now been heavily nerfed. Deadlock and Harbor have been weak since their release and remain so today. Chamber holds the record for the most nerfs, and Skye is simply out of the meta.
This group of five are the weakest agents in the game right now, so we do not recommend picking them.
Conclusion
Finally, we want to address a common mistake made by inexperienced players: picking agents based on the preferences of professional players. The truth is, the way professionals view the game is entirely different from how casual players experience it.
If your favorite pro plays Yoru or Jett, we do not recommend choosing these agents. They are incredibly difficult to master for beginners, and by picking them, you won’t enjoy the game because you won’t be able to fully utilize their potential. Moreover, this will negatively impact your teammates’ experience.
