The professional Valorant scene features players of all ages and backgrounds. However, as in any esports discipline, age works against them, and as players grow older, their reaction times decrease, and their skills may dull. Often, older players transition to roles as coaches, analysts, or commentators, leaving room for younger talent. Despite this, some players, even as they age, continue competing in Valorant professionally, though their numbers are few. Today, we've prepared an article about the top 10 oldest active Valorant players as of this writing.
Before we begin, note that the ages listed below are sourced from Liquipedia. In cases where players are the same age, they are ordered by their exact date of birth.
10 – Steel
Our list begins with former CS pro player and current Valorant competitor, Joshua "steel" Nissan. The Canadian-British player was born in December 1989, making him 34 years old and the youngest on our list. From 2020 to 2023, steel actively competed at the top level, playing for notable teams like 100 Thieves and T1, which speaks to his high skill level. However, he left his last team, Disguised, at the end of 2023 and took a break from the competitive scene. Although he hasn’t returned yet, there’s no official word if this is the end of his career.
