Despite Valorant being officially released almost four years ago, developers have yet to implement all the necessary features that the player community requires. In this article, we will explore ideas and functions that should be implemented in the near future to engage a broader audience and increase the already substantial interest in the game.
Replay Mode

The absence of a replay mode in a competitive shooter like Valorant is a major issue for many players interested in the game and wanting to improve. The lack of this feature complicates the analysis of one's own games and the identification of mistakes, and it limits the opportunities to learn strategies and tactics from professional players. A replay mode would allow players to review their matches, study mistakes and successes, and analyse the gameplay of professional players to enrich their own gameplay and strategies.
Adding a replay mode should be a priority for Riot Games. However, currently, we have very little information about this feature. Developers have only indicated that they are facing significant challenges in implementing this mode but plan to start sharing more detailed information about its status and progress throughout 2024.
Offline Mode

Offline Mode is a simple feature that would help many players. Sometimes players want to hide their activity from friends, but currently, they do not have the means to do so using existing features. Therefore, they resort to third-party programs like Deceive to hide their online status and enjoy the game without undue attention from friends.

Skin Shop Overhaul

The current in-game skin shop falls short of player expectations and Valorant enthusiasts. One of its main problems is the inability to purchase a specific skin, forcing you to wait for its appearance in the daily shop, which updates only once every 24 hours. Regarding selection, only four skins are available, which is quite limited, especially considering that a new collection appears roughly every two weeks. This leads to a decreasing likelihood of finding the desired skin in the shop over time. Thus, this system needs to be reviewed in the near future.
Commendation System

The game lacks any indicators of what to expect from a specific player, as there is no commendation system, although the game was released in 2020. Adding this feature would be extremely useful as it would not only help players gain respect but also increase interaction, encouraging even toxic players to change their behaviour to receive more praise and awards for their gaming profile.
New Game Mode - 1v1
It has been almost a year since the last mode was added to Valorant, which was Team Deathmatch. Since then, there have been no rumours or announcements of a new mode, but players have repeatedly noticed, and data miners and leaked footage have confirmed that Riot Games is working on a one-on-one mode that would not only diversify the currently active set of modes but also attract a new audience that dislikes team games but seeks projects where everything depends on you.

Agent Ban System
With each passing year, the active pool of agents in Valorant grows, adding at least two new characters. Such a growth rate of active agents creates a need for the implementation of a ban system, as mentioned by both professional players and game developers. Currently, there are 24 agents in the game, so adding this system in future updates would not be a mistake, even in a test version where you could only block up to two characters per team.
Addressing the Smurfing Issue
In the ranked mode, smurfs are often encountered - players who create new accounts or play on accounts with a lower rating than their main ones. This creates problems for other players, disrupts balance, and spoils the overall gaming experience.
Linking a phone number to an account for participation in the ranked mode could help combat the smurfing issue. It could reduce players' motivation to create additional accounts and help ensure a fairer gaming experience for all participants. Such a system could be an effective tool for reducing the number of smurfs and improving the overall quality of the game.
Advanced Statistics
Adding additional information to the tab displayed when pressing the TAB key could enhance the gaming experience, giving players more context and the ability to analyse their actions during the game. This information could help players better understand their strengths and weaknesses and find areas for improvement. Additional metrics such as the amount of damage dealt, ability usage efficiency, and other statistical data could make this tab more informative and useful for players.

Clans and Guilds
Many online games feature clans or guilds that encourage players to unite and compete against each other. This creates a win-win situation: in one hand, it increases the online presence and activity of players in the game, and in the other, it adds an incentive for players to spend more time in the game and enjoy the competitions.
Currently, Valorant has significant issues with player motivation. Apart from the daily repetitive tasks necessary for levelling up the battle pass and grinding the ranked mode, there is nothing else to do. Therefore, adding a similar idea could lead to increased activity in the community. Players would not only spend more time in the game, but they would also communicate more actively outside of it, discussing their next moves and making new acquaintances.
Even now, when Valorant has already achieved great success, implementing such concepts could contribute not only to retaining but also to further expanding its popularity and competitiveness in the video game market. Continuous updates and improvements to the game are important factors in maintaining player interest and attracting a new audience. Thus, implementing these ideas could be a key step in achieving further success for Valorant.
