The new Genshin Impact 5.6 update, titled Paralogism, is set to release soon. It will bring the much-anticipated return to the Mondstadt location and a new set of banners. Two new characters, Escoffier and Ifa, will debut, along with the return of several fan-favorite 5★ heroes. In this article, we'll explore the full list of all 5★ and 4★ banners and the content they will introduce.

Genshin Impact 5.6 Update Release Date

Update 5.6 will officially launch on Wednesday, May 7. However, as usual, players in the US will gain access the evening before due to time zone differences.

First Phase Banners of Genshin Impact 5.6 (May 7 – 27, 2025)

Featured 5-Star Characters — Escoffier and Navia

One of the heroes debuting in update 5.6 is Escoffier, a Cryo element spear user. Her banner, La Chanson Cerise, portrays her as a hybrid support and healer. Her skill set includes healing and reducing enemy resistance, with effectiveness significantly increasing based on the number of allies with Hydro or Cryo elements.

The character Navia will return in the banner In the Name of the Rosula. A Geo claymore user, she quickly gained popularity since her debut in version 5.3 due to her elegant design and powerful burst mechanics. She remains one of the few Geo characters capable of dealing consistent damage without disrupting team rotations.

New 4-Star Character 

Ifa, introduced alongside Escoffier, is an Anemo catalyst hero with a supportive and utility skill set. He enters battle accompanied by his saurian companion, Cacucu. Ifa can heal, crowd control, and enhance Electro-Charged and Swirl damage through the Nightsoul mechanic. His skills also passively restore HP to the active character when their health is low, making him a versatile ally for elemental teams.

First Phase Weapon Banner

• Symphonist of Scents (Polearm): Escoffier's signature weapon with support-focused stats that complement her skill set
• Verdict (Claymore): expected to return with Navia, synergizes with her burst mechanics

The four-star weapons to be featured have not been announced yet.

Second Phase Banners of Genshin Impact 5.6 (May 27 – June 17, 2025)

Returning 5-Star Characters

In the second phase, expect the return of the Kinich banner, a Dendro character, in the Seeker of Flame-Wrought Secrets banner. He is a robust hero with high endurance and the ability to enhance elemental reactions. His claymore attacks release Dendro energy, and his Elemental Burst excels in AoE battles, making him ideal for Dendro teams.

The Reign of Serenity banner is headlined by Raiden Shogun. As one of the strongest spear users in the game, she remains in the meta due to her Battery skills and devastating Burst damage.

Second Phase Weapon Banner

• Fang of the Mountain King (Claymore): likely the best weapon for Kinich, enhancing his damage and energy generation
• Engulfing Lightning (Polearm): iconic weapon for Raiden Shogun, providing Energy Recharge and a significant ATK boost when playing through Burst

As in the first phase, the full list of 4★ weapons has yet to be confirmed.

Chronicled Wish Banner

In addition to the standard banners, version 5.6 reintroduces the Chronicled Wish banner, this time focusing on characters and weapons from the Inazuma location. This special feature allows players to specifically choose previously released 5-star heroes and weapons currently unavailable in the standard pool.
