Easiest Valorant agents

Easiest Valorant agents

Since its release, Valorant has regularly introduced new agents, and at the time of writing, there are as many as 25 available. While the characters in the game are categorized into various roles (such as duelist, initiator, and others) or functionalities, they can generally be divided into easy and complex agents. We'll discuss the more difficult agents later, but today we’ve prepared a guide on the easiest Valorant agents.

How we categorized the agents

Before we begin, it's worth noting that this is a subjective list of agents, compiled based on the advice of a player with a maximum rank of Immortal 387rr, who was once in the top 3000 players on the EU server. The agents in our list are not ranked from weakest to strongest or vice versa. Instead, this list represents characters we believe are quite simple and can be mastered by anyone. We selected easy agents based on the following criteria:

  • Understandable for new players
  • Simple abilities that don’t require much control
  • Effective when paired with most other agents
  • You don’t need to spend dozens of hours learning how to play them

Brimstone

Our list opens with the American controller - Brimstone. This agent is considered easy because Brimstone’s abilities are simple yet highly effective. His Sky Smoke doesn’t require much control, and the skill allows you to easily place smokes on the map, blocking enemy vision. While his other abilities, like Incendiary and Stim Beacon, are also simple and effective, his main weapon is his ultimate, Orbital Strike. This ability deals massive damage and has a wide range of uses, yet it’s very simple and doesn’t require much control. That’s why Brimstone is one of the easiest agents to play in Valorant.

Sage

Next, we have the Chinese Sentinel - Sage. She is a support agent, and beginners in Valorant often choose her. Thanks to her abilities, she can make a significant contribution to the team's victory without needing to do anything too complicated. You just need to heal allies on time with Healing Orb and revive the strongest teammate using her ultimate, Resurrection.

Phoenix

Up next is our first duelist, Phoenix. While duelists are usually considered complex characters, not all of them are. Phoenix is one of the simpler duelists. His abilities don’t require much control or precise placement because, thanks to his passive ability, Hot Hands, his abilities won’t harm him but will instead heal him. This means you don’t have to worry about hitting yourself with your own fire, and his ultimate, Run it Back, gives you a second chance against enemies. These factors make Phoenix one of the Valorant easiest agents.

Reyna

Another duelist who can be considered relatively simple is Reyna. However, despite this, there’s one factor that makes her an easy agent—kills. Reyna’s abilities are mostly tied to killing enemies, which means she’s effective only if you have good aim and can get more than one kill per round. If this is the case, Reyna becomes a simple and powerful tool for climbing ranks.

Sova

The initiator Sova can also be considered one of the simplest agents because he provides utility to the team even from a distance. While his abilities require some control, they are all aimed at detecting enemies and work over an area, like Owl Drone or Recon Bolt, making it almost impossible to miss even without much skill. Thanks to his effective long-range abilities, Sova is one of the easiest agents Valorant.

Killjoy

The German sentinel, Killjoy, is also one of the easiest agents, mainly due to two of her abilities. Turret allows you to place a turret anywhere, effectively defending various points and positions. Her ultimate, Lockdown, immobilizes all enemies in a large radius, creating an opportunity to eliminate them easily. Since these abilities don’t need much control and affect an area, Killjoy is considered one of the simplest agents in the game.

Raze

Closing our list of the easiest Valorant agents is another duelist—Raze. Unlike Reyna, her abilities don’t depend on the number of kills, making her even easier. Her primary weapon is her Paint Shells grenade, which is easy to control but deals an incredible amount of damage thanks to its two explosions. Additionally, her ultimate, Showstopper, is also simple, but with some luck, you can kill five enemies at once.
