What you can learn from the interview:
We needed to pick a player who hadn't played the Major qualifiers, so we decided accordingly. We asked a few people before him, they declined, and someone suggested him, though I don't remember who. We just chose SENER1; we thought we wouldn’t need a substitution, but we picked for insurance in case something happened, so we wouldn’t have to take onhePixel. I also had some questions about travel, so we took him.
Do you already have offers from other teams for the next season?
Yes, I do. But no details yet.
How do you handle jet lag, and is it difficult for you to stay in China right now, maybe something unusual?
Everything’s great for me. I don’t have jet lag; I fall asleep at 9 PM, and wake up at 4 AM, like today. My schedule is very bad in Europe, that is, at home my schedule is bad. But here, my schedule is just fine.
Was there any person or organization offering you conditions before signing?
I handled that. I told the guys when I got them together that I would take care of all financial and other issues. There were other organizations, but we decided to play with OhnePixel, because it’s a big media boost. He also has a lot of people, his friends, who help us in terms of managers and everything else.
Is there any analyst/coach in the team, besides OhnePixel?
OhnePixel is more of a psychological coach for us. He helps boost our morale in the team. Yes, we do have analytics, but I don’t know who does it; zipeL sends it to us. The owner of the ECSTATIC team.
Has OhnePixel already given any such game instructions?
We have a good mood. Somehow it turned out that even from the first time we all met, at the bootcamp, we all have good relationships with each other. We don’t have conflicts, especially IRL, and everyone understands everything. I can sometimes be more toxic than others, and everyone understands why, and it's for the good of the team. In official games, everything is fine.
Is it easier to play in DRILLAS knowing that it's a lineup for one tournament?
There’s no difference, even if it’s for one tournament. We’ve played a lot together already. I can say it’s easier for me here because they listen to me as IGL, it’s very simple. Everyone listens, no objections, and everyone does everything. If there are any nuances, we discuss and find the middle ground; I feel very comfortable now.
What can you say about other teams with you at the Asian RMR? Who were you more prepared for?
We're not afraid of anyone. For me, there isn’t a single team here that can’t be beaten. Even if The Mongolz weren’t in form now, it’s good for me to play against them.
Who do you think will take the three slots at the Major?
Well, we’ll be first. And then it doesn’t matter to me, to be honest. I haven’t thought about it; I just want us to qualify, and beyond that, it doesn't matter.
Was it difficult to draw the stickers? Unusual?
They gave us A4 paper, and we drew. It's unusual because usually someone designs them for you, and off you go. But I did it properly, it turned out well for me.
Which team or other players' stickers did you like the most if you saw them?
No, I haven’t really looked. Haven't even seen them.
Were there any interesting moments with Chinese fans?
No. Just someone came once to take a photo, and that’s it.
