Tomorrow is the last day of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: Asia-Pacific RMR, and it finally gives us the last, third team going to the Major. One of the pairs that will fight for their slot is the match between DRILLAS versus FlyQuest. The winner will advance to the final match for the Major slot, while the loser goes home with nothing. Team Form 

DRILLAS team is a very good form, with an overall rating of 6.1 for the last 15 matches. Recently, they came second at Galaxy Battle #3 and United21 Season 21, losing consecutively against Monte Gen and NAVI Junior. However, they have won, coming first in Galaxy Battle #2 and Prodigy Series #3, winning twice in the final against Monte Gen. More recently at the Asia-Pacific RMR, they bested Lynn Vision but later lost 1-2 to one of the favorites to win the tournament, The Mongolz.

FlyQuest has become regular in top events and this time around also qualified through their region, Oceania. Recently, the roster won ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024, dropping not a single map en route to an appearance slot at ESL Pro League Season 21, and also won their league - ESL Challenger League Oceania. At the Asia-Pacific RMR, they were defeated by TALON in the opening match and then sent to the lower bracket, beating GR Gaming, moving on to face DRILLAS next.

Map Pool 

Usually, DRILLAS ban out Inferno first, perhaps for a lack of preparation on that map, though they have played it twice and have a win percentage of 50%. The favored maps for DRILLAS include Mirage-where the team has managed to put in a 75% win rate across 20 games Ancient, where they boast a 68% win rate after 19 games, both of these maps turning out pretty strong for them. A decent alternative map for them is Nuke, where, in the 10 matches they played on it, they have a 60% win. For instance, DRILLAS would most likely ban Inferno, pick Ancient, and make Anubis the decider map.

FlyQuest usually bans Mirage. Their best maps include Nuke, where they post a 73% win rate after 11 matches, although for DRILLAS it is also a map on which they feel good with a 60% win. Ancient is FlyQuest's second-best map, with a win percentage of 69% after 13 games, and comfortable for DRILLAS. Dust II is the third most favorite map of FlyQuest with a win rate of 67% above a total of 6 games. FlyQuest will most likely ban Mirage as their permaban and DRILLAS' strongest map, then pick Nuke and add Dust II as the decider.

The meeting between DRILLAS and FlyQuest is an interesting match where it is difficult to really identify a favorite.
DRILLAS, despite the passage to RMR and a 1-1 score there, remain a mix with a lot of problems and are still struggling to find their game, especially in the match against The MongolZ.

On the other hand, FlyQuest, who are stuck not wanting to make changes in the lineup, still get to the first stages of major tournaments, but have not shown good CS there for a long time and the only successes are within their own region.

In my opinion, FlyQuest will be the favorite here simply because they have better experience as a team and their map pool is better. Even if DRILLAS catches the trick, I think it will be a 2:1 match in favor of FlyQuest.
