Team Vitality beat Heroic in the IEM Rio 2023 finals. Dan apEX Madeskler's team earned $100,000. This is the second championship win for the club in the current lineup.
With this victory, Vitality opened a new season of the Intel Grand Slam award and joined the fight for a million dollars in gold bars. In order to receive the award, athletes from the French organization must win two more competitions of the ESL Pro Tour series, as well as one Major IEM championship in Katowice or Cologne (or a Major organized by ESL) within ten consecutive tournaments.

IEM Rio 2023 was held from April 17 to 23 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The teams won a prize fund of $250,000.
