Valve improved the sub-tick system, and now bullets are registered as they should be

In their latest update, the developers at Valve, who are working on Counter-Strike 2, did not heavily advertise this event, but they significantly corrected the work of the new bullet registration system — sub-tick. Now, the registration of bullets is much clearer and more accurate.

Previously, there was a considerable discrepancy between the image on your monitor and the server. This was particularly evident when you were killed at the moment you were already behind a wall on your monitor, but in reality, on the server, you were in a completely different spot. But now, Valve has minimized this discrepancy.

Before this update, the registration of shots occurred immediately, but the animation of character movements and weapons lagged by one tick, making them visible only in the next frame. This created an impression of unnatural shooting in CS2, especially with headshots, when aiming did not coincide with the point of impact.

But now, although shots are still registered instantly, animations of character movements and weapons are visually synchronized with your clicks and shots. This significantly improves the visual experience, making the entire picture smoother.

Moreover, this is a huge improvement: finally, what you see corresponds to reality. Each weapon now feels more accurate, with particularly noticeable changes when using the AWP and USP in pistol rounds, especially when shooting at moving targets.
