Player of FaZe Clan, Russel Twistzz Van Dulken, commented on his team's elimination from IEM Rio 2023 in CS:GO. The Canadian esports athlete believes that his team needed some rest.
After winning the ESL Pro League Season 17 and the Intel Grand Slam award, FaZe began to experience burnout. Despite the high level of professionalism of the players, they lost motivation for subsequent competitions, and it was clear that they were in dire need of rest. Finn karrigan Andersen's team barely made it to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and completely failed at the Rio de Janeiro tournament, finishing in 9th-12th place.
Rough loss and individual performance but I have no shame in saying that I am exhausted. Finally time to rest, stressful few weeks and every person deals with it differently. One too many days on low sleep, no appetite, Now the feeling of winning will be even better after resting

Preparation for the Major
The last CS:GO Major in history begins on May 8th. Teams will be competing for a prize pool of $1.25 million. Thus, FaZe has a little over two weeks to rest and improve their morale. Esports athletes will have to do a colossal amount of work to approach the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 in good shape.
IEM Rio 2023 takes place from April 17th to 23rd in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Teams are playing for a prize pool of $250,000. You can follow the schedule and results of the championship here.
