FaZe won the fourth season of the Intel Grand Slam and became $1 million richer

FaZe became the champions of the Intel Grand Slam by winning the last tournament they needed - ESL Pro League Season 17. In the final, the team defeated Cloud9 3-1, winning $1 million for the Grand Slam championship and $200,000 for first place in the league.

FaZe's journey

To win Intel Grand Slam Season 4, a team needed to win four tournaments that are part of the tier-1 events from ESL. They had to become champions four times within a window of ten tournaments.

FaZe started their journey very strongly, winning 3 out of 4 events in the first half of 2022. However, then the team faced some problems, and the results were not pleasing, and until today, they had not even made it to the grand final.

But today everything changed, and FaZe became the latest holders of the IGS in CS:GO. The upcoming season will likely partially take place in Counter-Strike 2.

FaZe's championship wins:

  • IEM Katowice 2022
  • ESL Pro League Season 15
  • IEM Cologne 2022
  • ESL Pro League Season 17

It is also worth noting that Twistzz became the first player to win IGS twice, and he did it for different clubs - in 2019, he won the second season of the Grand Slam in the lineup of Liquid.

Intel Grand Slam Season 4 took place from December 2, 2021, to March 26, 2023, ending at EPL S17. In total, it took nine tournaments to determine the winner.
