The organizers of IEM Brazil named the city and location of the tournament

Tournament operator ESL has officially announced the location of IEM Brazil, which will take place from April 17 to 23. The event will be held at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, which has a capacity of 18,000 spectators.

Interestingly, the previous major - IEM Rio Major 2022 - was held in the same place in the fall of 2022.

So far, 14 out of 16 teams that will come to the championship are known. Two more teams, the winners of the North and South American qualifiers, will be announced on February 17.

The champion team will receive $100,000 from the $250,000 total prize pool and a spot at the summer IEM Cologne.

What the organizers should work on after the last Major?

Given the fact that particularly unruly fans may even spit on players, as it happened with NAVI, the main drawback of the previous tournament in Rio will be lack of soundproof booths. Considering the potential number of spectators who are not averse to helping the home team with their shouts, additional sound insulation should at least partially mitigate the effects of crowd bias.
