CS:GO Developers Replaced the AWP Skin in the "Revolution" Case Due to the Accusations of Plagiarism

On the night of February 16, CS:GO developers released an update in which they made changes to the "Revolution" case. The game was also optimized.

List of changes for the "Revolution" case:

  • AWP | Doodle Lore is replaced by AWP | Duality in the "Revolution" case
  • All existing AWP | Doodle Lore in players' inventories were replaced by AWP | Duality

Previously, the author of the AWP skin for CS:GO "Doodle Lore," Jimmba, was accused of plagiarizing drawings to create a skin. Some users found similarities with the works of the artist vexx. Later, vexx contacted the CS:GO developers with a request to resolve the incident.

Other changes:

  • Ember's seasonal celebrations have come to an end.
  • Map lighting, theme, textures, and models are back to their pre-season state.
  • Cave rock textures now use $seamless_scale to improve texture quality and appearance.
  • Various texture improvements.
  • Fixed problem with areaportal.

The "Revolution" case was added to the game on the night of February 10. In addition, a capsule with "Espionage" stickers appeared in the game, and a music set with tracks by the rapper Denzel Carra.
