HEROIC, traditionally one of the stable teams in Tier-1, now enters the scene with an entirely new approach. The participation of young talents and experienced players forms an intriguing mix that promises unexpected results.
Path to a new era for Heroic
Álvaro “SunPayus” García returns to active play after a six-month break. The best result for SunPayus in 2024 was the semi-finals at IEM Katowice, but further performances did not allow for qualification in the Major in Copenhagen. However, the successes of 2023 with ENCE — reaching the finals of IEM Cologne and Gamers8, as well as winning at IEM Dallas — confirm his high level.
Linus "nilo" Bergman attracted attention after performances for Metizport. In 2024, he won his first offline tournament, Svenska Cupen, and is preparing to debut at the Tier-1 level.
The trio from Sangal — Linus “LNZ” Holtäng, Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç, and Simon “yxngstxr” Boije — join HEROIC against the backdrop of successes in the ESL Challenger League, where they won two seasons in a row and finished the year in 23rd place in the global Valve rankings.
Roster details and prospects
HEROIC is betting on a balance of experience and potential. SunPayus will bring stability and experience to the sniper position, while nilo and former Sangal players will add young energy and a fresh perspective.
